The object of The Alternative Guitar and Amplifier Company is to make a high quality, well crafted solid body guitar that sounds great, feels great, plays great and, has a reasonable price. But, most importantly, the object is not to make copies other companies designs. The designs offered are truly alternative, original, and based upon styles that have inspired them in the past, but with a look of the future.

They attempt to give the designs a vintage, or period look, while incorporating a modern and futuristic touch. It took over four years to go from their conception to the manufacturing process. The models offered are the:

MAL STICH: Founder of The Alternative Guitar and Amplifier Company is, as you might expect, just a little different. Mal has a long history in the music industry as a performing musician, Vice-President of the B.C. Rich Guitar Company and additional executive stints with companies such as Moser Custom Shop and Charlie Stinger's Snarling Dogs. Mal understands what players want and need from their guitars by having the experience to satisfy their personal preference and artistic integrity. Mal has taken several years to produce a range of truly alternative electric guitars and basses that play, look and sound great. All with shapes that mirror the past yet, look to the future with modern designs.

SAL GONZALES: The understanding and working with wood are traditions in the city of Paracho, Mexico. Sal Gonzalez was born and raised around these traditions. By the age of 10, he had been around the shops of his uncles many times. Seeing that the boy enjoyed being in the shops, his uncles taught him the basics of wood working and techniques that are almost non-exsistent today. As a young man, he arrived at B.C. Rich with these skills. Learning from his uncle, Jose Blas, and skilled craftsman, Juan Hernandez, what Bernie Rico required of them, Sal became expert in heeless through neck design. When his uncle retired, Sal took over as Foreman of the woodshop. Sal is sought after for his skill in repairing and making repairs on vintage instruments, as well as, the many busy luthiers who seek his expertise. He continues today as a partner, designer and prototype maker at The Alternative Guitar and Amplifier Company.

HARALD WIND: With an insight to guitar design, he did flew from Holland to N.Y. and Canada to buy a guitar that he had to have and, that guitar piqued his interest so much that he made a special trip to California just to meet some of the guys associated with manufacturing the instrument. Always interested in buying and exchanging musical instruments, he is often called on to judge a good deal. Although his parents tried to convince him into a government service position, the headstrong Harald started rocking to the headbanging music and thrashing his first electric guitar at the age of fifteen in band after band that eventually led to a top line-up of great musicians touring as Shake The Snake. At present, he is in charge of European operations, sales, and marketing for The Alternative Guitar and Amplifier Company. Mr. Wind is a family man who enjoys his privacy.
